On
Sunday, June 27th 2004, Diann and I trailer'd our Avon dinghy to
Lake James near Morganton NC. The lake is partially fed by the
Linville River which pours down Linville Gorge at the Blue Ridge
Parkway. With cooler and sandwich fixings, we spent four hours on
the water and covered some 30 miles. Our fuel consumption for the
15hp four stroke mercury was less than 3 gallons!

the Linville River enters the lake.
